After a standout sophomore season, Noelle Cobb returns as the top-ranked runner among Jeffco 5A girls, but Columbine has a tall order ahead of them to come out on top of this league next year. Photo by Alan Versaw.

This may be the most depth we've seen out of the Jeffco 5A League in several years.

If they can stay healthy--something that has plagued this team in recent years--Dakota Ridge looks to be the strongest team coming into next fall's campaign.

But, the Eagles won't exactly be coming in with a high margin of comfort. Five or so teams are nipping at their tail feathers. A solid summer here, a high-impact incoming freshman there, and whatever lead Dakota Ridge appears to have could disappear in a hurry to teams like Lakewood, Columbine, Chatfield, Arvada West, and Ralston Valley.
