The start line for the World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang, China.
A couple faces Colorado folks will recognize, and a couple of their teammates for Saturday's USA Junior Women's team.
Since China is better than half a day ahead of us, the competition will be tonight, Mountain Daylight Time.
I believe, but am not absolutely certain, that the Junior Women's race runs at 10 PM tonight, our time.
Course Description: Grassy loops, sharp narrow left turn some 150m past the start, followed by two hair pins and a substantial man-made hill and trench. Steady 800m climb, then the rest of the loop is rolling. I'm going to assume the loops are of the standard 2K variety. We'll probably have a lot better idea of it all if we watch the live stream tonight.
