The Pomona Invitational may fall on the same weekend as the pretigious Mullen Runners Roost, but it still produced meet records and some fast times. Either place you ended up, there was an abundance of great track and field action to be enjoyed.

On a fun note, a school all the way from South Dakota called Rapid City Stevens came out here during their spring break for some Colorado competition.

Friday consisted of the 4x800s, an elite heat of the 3200m, half the field events and a ton of prelims. Because the prelims were seeded evenly through the heats, there was an obvious winner for almost every prelim race.

Fountain Fort-Carson and Cherry Creek lit up the boys' 4x800m with new #1 and #2 times in the state with 8:05.1, and 8:06.9.

The girls of Rapid City Stevens would take the girls 4x800m title by 20 seconds with 9:31.3. Spring break was no time off for these girls.
