Rye has some nice top end talent in Corban Pagnotta and a handful of others, but Rye--like a lot of other folks--will be pressed hard to keep pace with the depth of Cedaredge and Lyons. Photo by Alan Versaw.

The depth meter probes at Lyons and Cedaredge take a long time before the signals bounce back. Both teams are deep. Either team could win the state title. The most likely threat to either is Resurrection Christian, but the Cougars are a step back and at least as dependent on a central core of athletes for relays as Lyons and Cedaredge.

Cedaredge outpoints Lyons in the analysis below, and they can spread the burden out over a greater number of athletes. The Bruins aren't unbeatable, but they probably merit the status of favorites going in.
