The 2A race for second could be very good, but the table below sticks an exclamation point onto what we already knew--Paonia is loaded and deep.
This is Highland's best team in years--maybe ever--but the Huskies seem to come up a little short of being able to trade points with Paonia's Eagles. The absence of Miranda Mathiason from most of the season has been a big blow for the team. Even with Mathiason running the 100 and two hurdle events, however, it's not clear that the gap could be closed.
Wray and Lyons are enjoying solid seasons as well. Both teams figure to score across a wide range of events. Highland might be within range but, barring a near-complete breakdown, Paonia is not.
