Keeping you abreast of performances tied to Colorado...

Thursday
The junior women's discus competition felt a strong Colorado influence. Fort Collins High School grad Josephine Natrasevschi nailed down first with a throw of 175-7. Coming in fourth was Haley Showalter, with a PR throw of 160-8.
Adams State freshman Austin Anaya advanced to the next round of the 1500 meters with a qualifying time of 4:00.21.
Friday
Cerake Geberkidane, Denver East grad, went 14:52.87 (it is a bit warm in Eugene right now, which might be impacting some distance times all weekend long) for second in the 5000 meters.
Dior Hall (1st, 13.21) and Ashley Miller (3rd, 13.55) both wind legal and both advance out of prelims to the finals of the 100 meter hurdles.
Haley Showalter throws 185-8 to win the Junior Women's Hammer Throw by a razor-thin margin of two inches. Josie Natrasevschi goes 162-11 to finish 13th.

Chyna Ries a wind-legal 19-9 for fourth in the long jump.
Both Carly Lester and Mackenzie Howie missed advancing to finals in the 400 hurdles. A time of 1:00.29 was the last to make finals, and both missed by more than a second.
Claire Green advances by place to finals in the 800 with a prelims time of 2:09.57.
In the afternoon session, Dior Hall goes 13.02 (not wind legal) to win the 100 hurdles. That's well off a best mark for Hall who, incidentally, holds the American Junior (and World Junior!) record at 12.74 from this spring's NCAA Championships. Ashley Miller finishes fifth in 13.59w.
Mariah Walker finished 16th in the women's shot put with a best throw of 43-5.75.
Saturday
In a stand-up-and-take-notice double, Cerake Geberkidane backed up his second place in the 5000 with a first place two days later in the 10,000, winning in 31:29.15 in the heat.
Despite a fabulous season in the pole vault that saw him over better than 16-4 as recently as last week, Andrew Barlow no-heighted and made an early exit from the pole vault. Such are the vagaries of the event.
Claire Green ran 2:12.01 in the finals of the 800 to settle for seventh.
Adams State's Austin Anaya ended up in 8th in the 1500 with a time of 4:02.14.
Rajon O'Quinn found her way over 5-7 to take seventh in the high jump.
Bailey Roth showed that he still has the steeple magic, winning the junior men's 3000 steeple in 9:08.70, seven seconds ahead of the closest competition.
Caleb Ojennes ran 47.61, close to his season-best mark, for fifth in the 400.
