It didn't take long for Palmer Ridge to reassert their claim to the #1 spot. Only a pair of votes sent Durango's way kept the 4A Boys polling from being unanimous in favor of Kelly Christensen's Bears.
Preseason hype about the prospects for a Katie Rainsberger-led Air Academy team propelled that squad to the top of the 4A Girls rankings. But, expect a lot of turmoil in the 4A Girls rankings before this season is done. Aside from how good the current top ten teams are, I can think of a couple more teams that didn't make the top 10 that should definitely be heard from this season.
Winning accolades in both 4A polls were Palmer Ridge, Air Academy, The Classical Academy, Thompson Valley, Mountain View, Battle Mountain, and Evergreen.
