The Monarch Coyotes descended upon the Cherry Creek/Steve Lohman Invitational with two questions to answer. First, is their girls squad still good coming off of heavy graduation losses to some recent great teams? Second, are their boys for real, as many around the state suspect? The answer to both queries appears to be a resounding yes!
The meet endured several lengthy delays, due to late registration and other extraneous variables. This likely frustrated not only the coaches, athletes, and spectators, but Cherry Creek's outstanding coaching staff, meet management, and cadre of volunteers. However, once competition was underway, the racing was superb.
