A much anticipated match-up looms between defending champion Palmer Ridge and highly regarded Durango. Palmer Ridge, deservedly so, has occupied the #1 spot all season in the Saucony/Flo 50 Colorado Coaches Poll. However, the Durango Demons have been nipping at their heels all along.
This race should come down to which team has the closest scoring five. Each of these squads is bolstered by a pack time of 30 seconds, sometimes less.
Durango relies almost exclusively on its seniors, likely sending six of them to the line on Saturday. Leading the charge for them has been Benjamin Lachelt and William Chandler, with any combination of Nicholas Turco, David Moenning and Seamus Millett close behind. Being senior-laden, and having finished third last year, are they more hungry than Palmer Ridge?
