Yesterday, we took a look at the Southwest Region boys teams. Today we shine the spotlight on the girls.

Nevada brings in their state champion team from Centennial. Centennial has traveled out-of-state a time of two and knows what tough competition is about, but Nike Southwest will be a lot stiffer test than the Nevada state meet all the same.

From Arizona, we're paying particular attention to three teams. It was Chandler that pulled off the big win at the Arizona state meet on November 7. Whether you call that an upset or not probably depends a lot on your perspective, but it certainly ranked as an upset of enormous proportions based on what anyone was projecting back in August. 

In any case, the Chandler girls will be looking to push that momentum all the way forward to Portland. It will be fun ...
