#7 - Telluride Surprises in 2A Girls
After a tour de force through all of September and most of October, most of the state had written off the 2A girls crown to Heritage Christian Academy. Most of the state, that is, except Telluride.
Telluride packed their top four runners into the first nine places. Even though HCA had gone 1-2 with the Rairdon sisters, they were unable to answer Telluride's response. The Miners left the Norris Penrose event center with their first-ever girls state title.
As I mentioned in the preface, upsets were tough to find this year, but this one likely ranks as the #1 upset of the 2015 season.
