If you're in the know about post-season distance events, you already have the Nike Festival of Miles as a rising star among post-season distance carnivals.
This year, Colorado will have four entries at the Nike Festival of Miles--Lexi Reed, Thomas Staines, Megan Mooney, and Madison Mooney. All but Staines will be running a mile. Staines is one of a field of 10 entered in the U.S. Marine Corps 800.
Lexi Reed and Megan Mooney are both entered in the Championship Mile. Madison Mooney makes the field in the Elite Development Mile.
All Colorado entries except Madison Mooney are recently-graduated seniors. Madison Mooney will enter her junior year this fall. Each of the other three have already signed letters of intent--Reed to Oregon State, Staines to CSU-Pueblo, and Megan Mooney to Florida State.
Results will be posted here on Colorado Track XC as they become available.
