Heretofore, 3A had only four regions. So, by the very nature of the case, 3A Region 5 is new territory. There has never before been a 3A Region 5.
So, with no tradition to call its own, 3A Region 5 sets out this fall to write a wholly new story. And, the pieces are in place to write a fine story.
Fortunately, most of the teams have existed, so we have some history to draw on. KIPP Denver Collegiate is a team new to the region with no high school history. Platte Canyon and Sheridan both lack enough returning runners to show up in any of the analyses below.
