Ivy Gonzales tasted a team state title last fall. But, did the taste make Broomfield satisfied or give them an insatiable hunger for more? Photo by Alan Versaw.

With 5A Girls, we're getting into Colorado's long-standing area of greatest strength.

As a reminder, Broomfield won it all last fall with a young team--meaning most everybody is back, except that Madison Mooney moved in and McKenzie Gaines moved out. You'll have to make your own adjustments to the rankings shown below to accommodate for that.

We do hope to see Allie Chipman back running, at least at some level, again this fall. Expect Lauren Gregory to be more like back to full speed than she was in the spring. Brie Oakley, of course, is the new phenom, but the greater question in cross country is what kind of team Grandview can build around her.

All of this means there's a whole lot to look forward to, and a lot of questions to be answered in 5A Girls this fall.
