There is a certain risk that inevitably attends writing meet previews. The people you think might be running don't always end up running. That can be especially true for league meets, but I'm going to guess most of the athletes registered for this particular league meet will actually be running. That's largely because the 3A Metro League meet falls two weeks in advance of regionals, giving athletes plenty of time off between if they need it.
It has been an interesting year for the 3A Metro League. Peak to Peaks girls are a small-school team getting national attention. Faith Christian has seen a revival (of the running variety, lest there be any confusion). Jefferson Academy's boys have risen to heights never before seen in the program. All this, and more, in what's been a relatively quiet league for the last few years.
