Prior to this year, Colorado has only had four 3A regions, but with the reshuffling of classifications this year, a fifth 3A regional became expedient. So, this is the region with no history.
3A Region 5 convenes at the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center in Thornton on Friday, along with two other regions.
As with all regions, a lot is on the line here.
3A Region 5 Girls Preview
After the two undisputed powers get done doing their thing, it could get very interesting determining who else will be advancing to state.
Those two undisputed powers would be newly-done-from-4A Conifer and Elizabeth. Although the virtual meet below has Conifer with an advantage, my hunch is it's a lot safer to call this one a dead heat for now and let the two teams settle any differences on the course.
