After a few years of some very strong athletes at Rye and John Mall, it may be time for Rocky Ford to rise back to the top of the Santa Fe League. At least that's what the current depth rankings for the league are suggesting.
But, Rocky Ford's proclivity for distance events could leave an opening for other schools--like Rye, Hoehne, Fowler, and John Mall--with designs on closing that gap and making this spring very competitive among the top teams.
Top returning athletes for the league include: Cody Danley and Joaquin Munoz (Rocky Ford), Ben Squier, Bryson Benedict, Derick Samuelson, and Kyle Colbert (Rye), Jeremiah Vigil and Santos Reyna (John Mall), Jacob Yates, Kyle Rowe, and Trystan Moltrer (Hoehne), Garett Gribble and Ty Hershey (Fowler), and Lane Walter and Tyler Schwartz (Crowley County).
