Bayfield's Brian Mashak (center) is the returning fast guy in the Intermountain League.

As a 3A league with only six member schools (and two of those on the very bottom edge of 3A by school size), I've elected to go only 15 deep with this depth analysis.

If the depth rankings below speak the truth--and they are usually close--the Intermountain League boils down to a very tight race this spring between three teams: Bayfield, Alamosa, and Montezuma-Cortez. Much could hinge on the comparative strength of the freshman classes these three schools bring in.

Top returning individuals in the league include: Brian Mashak, Carl Heide, Chad Winkler, Colton Fine, Ryan Phelps, and Sam Westbrook (Bayfield), Caleb Palmer, Hunter Romero, and Isaiah DeLaCerda (Alamosa), Elisha Vaquera, Josh Ramos, Micah Hightower, and Skyler Yarbrough (Montezuma-Cortez), Jayden Gomez (Centauri), Jacob Hughes and Ty Kimsey (Pagosa Springs), and Keshaun Duran and Noel Heredia (Monte Vista).
