Fairview's Hannah Freeman has been one of the mainstays of the Class of 2017 Distance, and especially so at 800 meters.
I'd venture to say that the Colorado Class of 2017 Girls has been almost legendary in terms of distance, but that would further compel me to identify which recent classes haven't been almost legendary. Keep in mind that Katie Rainsberger was class of 2016, Jordyn Colter was class of 2015, and Elise Cranny was class of 2014, and so on. I suspect you're starting to see my point.
Regardless of how we evaluate the class of 2017 against other recent classes, though, it's clearly been a stellar class of distance girls. It did start out that way, but it also got a serious bump in 2016 with the additions of Brie Oakley and Maria Mettler. As if Kayla Young, Lauren Offerman, Hannah Freeman, and Lauren Gregory (and more) needed the help...
Anyhow, here is how the Colorado Girls Distance Class of 2017 has developed over their high school careers...
