Lauren Gregory and Brie Oakley embark on a journey that would earn both of them enhanced position on the Rutherford 2 Mile list.
June 26 update: Since Arria Minor posted a new 400 meter record, I had a duplicate entry in the discus, Emily Sloan posted a large improvement in the 400 meter hurdles, and I discovered I had omitted a high jump mark from multis competition from Anna Hall, I've done an update today of the Rutherford List for high school girls.
As I mentioned yesterday with the boys edition of this list, it's been a while since I've posted an updated to the Rutherford lists. To be precise, the last update was in 2015. So, this one is due. There have been several updates to the performance lists since then, including a serious rush in distance events. Making inroads into the list this year were Arria Minor, Rylee Anderson, Erika Willis, Mia Manson, Brie Oakley, Madison Mooney, Maya Evans, Gabriella McDonald, Lauren Gregory, Anna Hall, and Sydnee Larkin (Larkin's addition actually came in 2016, but was during the most recent school year).
So, shown below, are the all-time top marks by Colorado high school athletes in each event, not limited to events in the CHSAA-sanctioned season or to events in Colorado.
These lists were faithfully kept and updated over the years by Tim Rutherford of Gunnison. Tim handed those off to me in 2015 for maintenance going forward. There are a few minor ways of doing things that Tim did which I would do differently, but I've tried to stay mostly faithful to Tim's mode of presentation.

Lauren Gregory and Brie Oakley embark on a journey that would earn both of them enhanced position on the Rutherford 2 Mile list.
June 26 update: Since Arria Minor posted a new 400 meter record, I had a duplicate entry in the discus, Emily Sloan posted a large improvement in the 400 meter hurdles, and I discovered I had omitted a high jump mark from multis competition from Anna Hall, I've done an update today of the Rutherford List for high school girls.
As I mentioned yesterday with the boys edition of this list, it's been a while since I've posted an updated to the Rutherford lists. To be precise, the last update was in 2015. So, this one is due. There have been several updates to the performance lists since then, including a serious rush in distance events. Making inroads into the list this year were Arria Minor, Rylee Anderson, Erika Willis, Mia Manson, Brie Oakley, Madison Mooney, Maya Evans, Gabriella McDonald, Lauren Gregory, Anna Hall, and Sydnee Larkin (Larkin's addition actually came in 2016, but was during the most recent school year).
So, shown below, are the all-time top marks by Colorado high school athletes in each event, not limited to events in the CHSAA-sanctioned season or to events in Colorado.
