Bobby Nicolls and Allie McLaughlin are at it once again! This time in Derwood, Maryland at the USATF National Cross Country Championships.
In the junior women's 6K, Allie McLaughlin rolled to a fourth-place finish in 21:10 after leading through most of the early portion of the race. She eventually finished 27 seconds behind the winner, Neely Spence.
Bobby Nicolls managed an eleventh place in the junior men's 8K. finishing in 25:02 and led all finishers among current high schoolers. To nobody's great surprise, German Fernandez captured the title with a solid 23:20 time. Other finishers with Colorado connections were Jim Walmsley (Air Force Academy, 19th, 25:36), Kevin Williams (formerly D'Evelyn HS, now University of Oklahoma, 24th, 25:41, and Martin Median (University of Colorado, 27th, 25:49).
