Remington Ross has been a dominating force in the sprints, and she'll look to continue that next year.
This year was a good year for Highland, and next year looks just as good. Led by one of the most dominating sprinters in 2A, Highland appears likely to defend their state title next year. The real question is who'll take the second and third spots. If the state meet were run today, Meeker and Lyons look primed for podium finishes.
In 5A the queen of sprinting is Arria Minor, 2A has their own version, and her name is Remington Ross. The incoming junior won back-to-back championships in the 100, and has three state titles to her name, including the 200. She's rarely loses, so I wouldn't expect much to change over the next two years.
Likewise, Kaiya Firor is a two-time state champion in the 400, and she'll likely want to cap her high school career with nothing less than another win in the event. Like Ross in the 100 and 200, Firor is a clear favorite next year.
