Hannah Ellis dropped 53 seconds from March to May in the 3,200.
Who revved up their engine right in time for May's state championships? That's what we see here on the top-50 3,200 times, from March to May.
Clearly, the Jenna Fitzsimmons vs Brynn Siles showdown at state brought some fireworks. Fitzsimmons ran 10:56 in April, and still dropped 21 seconds in May. Likewise, Siles ran 10:56 in March, 11:23 in April - presumably enduring a tough block before sharpening, because she ran 10:39 in May.
Of the list, Madeleine Burns made one of the biggest improvements. And not from March to May, April to May. Burns ran 12:29 in April, and 11:27 a month later. 62-seconds.
Another big jump came from Frontier Academy's Hannah Ellis. Ellis opened her season at 11:57, and dropped it to 11:05 - that's a staggering 53 seconds from March to May.
