Week Two Coaches Poll: Boys

Now that we've got something to compare to, these rankings are starting to shake, and take shape. If there's any one theme in these Week Two polls, it's that none of the previous No. 1 or No 2 teams moved at all. Even with a meet under their belts, the pollsters were spot-on last week, because this week looks the same.

Here's quick rundown of what this week's rankings look like...

5A

Mountain Vista was the unanimous No. 1 this week. If there were any big jumps or additions to this week's rankings, it's Fort Collins. Previously No. 8, they jumped four spots to No. 4 this week. Likewise, Legend, Pine Creek, and Monarch made an appearance in the 5A rankings.

4A

Niwot continues its dominance over 4A. After nearly taking down 5A No. 1 Mountain Vista at the Vista Nation 2 Mile, they received unanimous No. 1 rankings this week. 4A saw a big surge coming from the western slope. Durango hoped over Palmer Ridge and Air Academy to take over the No. 2 spot. Making their first appearance in the 4A polls were Central (GJ), and Silver Creek.

3A

The theme of a unanimous No. 1 votes continued on into the 3A rankings, with Peak to Peak clearly on top. There was no movement in the top four spots, while Faith Christian made the biggest drop - backwards, going from No. 5 to No. 10. Newcomers to this week's rankings were SkyView, and Liberty Common.

2A

Heritage remained on top of 2A - but not by much. Lyons crept up ever so slightly with their performance at the Vista Nation 2 Mile. Behind the two titans of 2A, Ouray and Peyton swapped spots, while Buena Vista made the biggest leap - into the rankings. Previously ranked, they moved into the No. 5 spot.
