On paper, Lyons has the upper hand. After finishing third last year, they may very well claim the team title this year. Hoehne looks like a clear runner-up, if not their main threat.
In the sprints keep an eye on Kyle Rowe - he's the top returner in the 100, and the 200. The senior looks primed to cap his high school career with a sweep in the sprints. Hoehne could use his points in the team race as well.
The 400 doesn't appear so clear, however. On paper Buena Vista's Matthew Thompson is the top returner from last year's final. But Limon's Braden Sandersfeld has the fastest returning time - which he ran in the prelims. Additionally, Sandersfeld did not run in the final. So this year's title could come down to these two.
