Q) Talk about the recruitment process - what other schools were you looking at, and how did you come to choosing the Adams State?

The main two schools that I was looking into were Adam State and Wyoming University. There were others but they didn't really stick out to me. I chose Adams State because on my visit with them I felt comfortable with their team and really felt like I fit in.

Q) What do you plan to study at Adams State

I plan on studying Sports Management, but that's not for sure.

Q) You made quite a big jump from your junior cross country season to track, and then again to your senior year. What contributed to your improvements over the past year?

It wasn't until the beginning of my junior year that I knew I was going to continue my running career in college. I was still a soccer fanatic, and to this point I still am but I think running is the way to go for me. At the end of the cross country season my junior year, I saw what I could really do. I ran a 15:58 5K at Nike. So I gave up soccer for cross country, and started putting in the work and the results showed in track that year. I ran more than I usually did in the summer and got the chance to run a mountain race in Europe for the United States! And that's how I really knew that running was going to stay in my life for quite some time.

Q) What would you consider to be your main event, and what event do you see yourself focusing on at Adams State?

I can see myself running the 10k and being good in it but I would really like the Mile and 800 meters to be my main event. But I have an open mind so I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Q) Could you share any goals you have for the upcoming track season?

I have high hopes for this track season. I want to hit some really big PRs and hopefully place top 3 or better at state in the 800 meter, mile, and 2 mile.

Q) What would your favorite high school moment be (so far)?

My favorite high school moment would have to be when my high school XC team won our region this year for the first time in 20 years.
