Right on Time!
We had quite a shake up in the rankings, as it appears everyone is warming up for the Air Force HS Open this weekend (did I mentioned we're streaming it live?), and/or the slew of other big meets in coming weeks...
We had six new state-leading marks in the boy's rankings, and five on the girl's side. And to put a little asterisk on the Colorado rankings - they don't include performances run outside of Colorado, like Cruz Culpepper's US No. 3 mile of 4:13.24 run at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix
Back in the Centennial State, Colorado rankings shook up from the 400 to the mile. Langston Williams ran a new state-leading time in the 400 with a 50.26, while Andrew Bluemel ran a big personal best in the 800 for a Colorado No. 1 of 1:57.20. Meanwhile, Yasin Sado put together the fastest mile run in Colorado so far with his 4:32.57.
In the hurdles Cameron Harris inched his way into the driver's seat with a 7.92 for a new Colorado No. 1 time.
And keep an eye on the field events this weekend, and in coming weeks, because Max Manson is just inches away from his father's Colorado pole vault record. Manson went 17-2.5 this past weekend and took a few close swings at 17-4.
In the triple jump a new state-leading mark came from Fischer James Argosino, who went 44-6.
On the girl's side of the rankings it appears Arria Minor is warming up for some big races in February... She went 7.44 in the 60, and 23.92 in the 200 for Colorado No. 1 marks, additionally she's No. 3 in the 60 and No. 5 in the 200 nationally.
And she wasn't the only Denver East runner leaping to the top of the rankings. Teammate Kyairra Reigh ran a new state leading 55.49 in the 400, which is a US No. 12.
Anna Hall continues to make gains in nearly every event she competes in, which has to be frightening because she's already on top of most of them.
Hall took .02 off her 60 hurdle time to reset the bar at 8.68, which is a US No. 17, and she went 42-3.25 in the shot, which puts her No. 18 in the country in the event.
