Q) Talk about the recruitment process - what other schools were you looking at, and how did you come to choosing the Colorado State?

At first, I had no idea where I wanted to go. Eventually, I narrowed it down to schools that are just located in Colorado. I considered many D2 and D1 schools such as Colorado Mesa, Western Colorado, Northern Colorado, and Colorado State. When I toured CSU it felt very home-like, and I enjoyed all of the facilities. I also met the coach, and some members of the team; and they seemed great.

Q) What do you plan to study at CSU?

I plan to major in Sports and Exercise Science.

Q) What got you into track and field in the first place?

I started track and field in seventh grade. I had already participated in basketball and volleyball for a few years, so I figured I might as well try track too. It was a good decision.

Q) You've had success in a wide variety of events, what is your favorite event and why?

It is very difficult to pick just one event, but if I have to chose I enjoy the hurdles, and the high jump. I love the hurdles because there are so many techniques that you need to master in order to run an efficient race. High jump was the very first event that I ever tried, and I have come so far with it. I couldn't imagine track without it.

Q) What event do you see yourself focusing on at CSU?

I hope to be focusing on being multi-event heptathlete, but when I am not competing in that event I will most likely focus on high jump.

Q) Could you share any goals you have for this track season?

Before college, I just hope to PR as much as possible. I really want to get  5-10 high jump, a faster 100 hurdle and 300 hurdle time, and a faster 200 time. Basically just get faster of course.

Q) What would your favorite high school moment be (so far)?

There are many to chose from but so far, considering track, my most favorable memory is when I broke the 3A state record in high jump, or when I cleared a 5-9 in high jump.
