Throwback Thursday: Arria Minor Dominates At CO State Champs

It's a tough feat to win every single state title you run during your high school career.

Arria Minor almost did just that, a runner-up finish in the 400m in 2018 the only "blemish" on her otherwise pristine resume.

During her senior year, Minor ran to her fourth straight outdoor 200m title at the 2019 5A Colorado State Championships. The Denver East (CO) graduate set her starting blocks in lane five. The gun went off and she rocketed into the turn. About 50m into the race, Minor made up the stagger on Broomfield's Sydney Holiday, who was to her outside in lane six. With 120m left in this race, Minor was so far out in front the only question remaining was could anyone catch her?

She came off the turn and continued to separate herself down the homestretch. She finished the race in 23.10 seconds, almost a second ahead of Holliday.

Minor now competes for the University of Georgia. At her first indoor season as a Bulldog, she ran 24.00 seconds in the 200m and 7.60 seconds in the 60m.
