The 2020 cross country season is just around the corner, so it's about time we start setting our gaze in front of us!
Over the next few weeks we'll take a look at the Fastest Returning Teams In The State - for every classification. Since some of the best squads in the country come from Colorado, we'll start with the all-classification girl's teams!
To clarify - this list ranks teams based off a runner's personal best - wherever it was run, even at lower elevations. The average of the top five is what ranks each team.
And topping this list as Fastest Team is last year's 4A state champs and Team Nationals third-place finishers - Niwot. They own a 17:59 team average - the only team with a Sub-18 clocking.
Last year's 5A runner-up Cherry Creek comes in No. 2 here with an 18:02 team average, while Team Nationals eighth-place finishers Valor Christian comes in No. 3 with an 18:08 average.
