Arvada West nearly achieved the coveted feat of scoring a perfect 15 in the boy's team race.

A trio of purple singlets shared the final 300 meters on the track, led by Logan Deison, who won the race in 17:27. David Rhoades gave Deison a run in the final quarter, nearly catching his teammate. Rhoades took the runner-up spot, running 17:29. Dominic Danborn was the third of the trio, finishing in 17:36.

40 seconds later Gabe Schultz cross the finish line in fourth, running 18:16, just ahead of Pomona's Dylan Jenkins, who denied Arvada West the perfect 15. Jenkins finished fifth in 18:28.

Arvada West did cap their scoring before double digits, however, as Toler Wilson finished seventh.

The Wildcats tallied an impressive 17 points to take the team title. Pomona finished second with 55, just ahead of Ralston Valley's 58.
