Coaches Poll: September 30

The Chaparral boys remain the No. 2 team in 5A.

We're headed into the final weeks of the season, and it appears that we're seeing the best rise for the occasion. The past few weeks were quite revealing. Check out the latest Coaches Poll:

5A

BOYS | GIRLS

At first glance: Mountain Vista remains in the driver's seat of the boy's poll. The big mover this week was Cherry Creek, who landed No. 4. Newcomers this week were both out of Boulder - Boulder and Fairview.

The Valor Christian girls remained No. 1 after a dominating performance at the Beet Juice Invite. Behind them Arapahoe and Cherry Creek swapped positions, while Fruita-Monument was the newcomer in the rankings.

BOYS | GIRLS

At first glance: The Niwot boys have taken over the top of the poll following their dominating victory at the Beet Juice Invite. The big mover this week was Durango, who leapt five spots to No. 4. Newcomers this week was Green Mountain. 

The Niwot girls remain No. 1, while the backside of the poll saw some big movers. Golden leapt to No. 5, while newcomers this week were Denver South and Silver Creek.

3A 

BOYS | GIRLS

At first glance: No real movement up top - The Classical Academy remained No. 1, just ahead of Frontier Academy. Newcomers this week were Colorado Academy and Kent Denver.

The Classical Academy girls were once again a No. 1, while Faith Christian and Basalt swapped out positions. Newcomers this week were Kent Denver.

2A 

BOYS | GIRLS

At first glance: Heritage Christian is still the team to beat on the boy's side. Big movers this week were Thomas Maclaren, who leapt five spots to No. 3. Newcomers this week were Lotus School for Excellence. 

No movement up top of the girl's poll - Buena Vista remains No. 1. Newcomers this week were Lake County.
