Well, for starters, only a few competed at state all four years. But this list includes any senior who toed the line at Penrose from senior to freshmen year.
Of the girls who competed at State all four years of high school, Faith Christian's Audrey Orstead had the biggest leap.
Orstead ran 22:39 as a freshman, and 19:23 as a senior - that's an improvement of 3:15.
Only one other runner who competed at State all four years was over three minutes, or two minutes, and that was Berthoud's Ellie Sundheim.
Sundheim went from 23:50 down to 20:47, for an improvement of 3:03.
And on the topic of consistency, or streaks, Valor Christian's Taylor Whitfield broke 19 minutes at State all four years she competed. She's the only one who can claim to have achieved this feat.
