Cheyenne Mountain is currently ranked No. 1 in the southwest region.
It's become a bit of a trend that the best teams in the state are likely the best in the southwest region, and this year, among the best in the country.
In the first Southwest Coaches Poll Colorado swept the top spots in the both boys and girls polls.
The Cheyenne Mountain boys and the Arapahoe girls are currently on top of the rankings. Among the girl's rankings Colorado owns the Top-three spots with Cherry Creek and Niwot sitting No. 2 and No. 3., while Mountain Vista, Valor Christian, and Niwot are sitting No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 in the boy's rankings.
