Banning Lewis Prep's Madison Cook has taken off a staggering 17-seconds off her 800 PR from 2021.
Let's take a look at who has improved the most from 2021 to 2022... Or in other words: who has put in some serious work over the past year?
For the girls Melanie Ternlund tops this list. The Rangeview junior dropped a mind-boggling 34-seconds off her 2021 PR. She went from 2:59 to 2:25 - and she's got a few more weeks to chop off a few more seconds.
Three others had leaps over 20-seconds, including Johanna Pataluna, Alanna Snyder, and Zoe Brandt. Pataluna went from 3:03 to 2:37, Synder went from 3:02 to 2:36, and Brandt went from 2:55 to 2:32.
Meanwhile the boy's list is tight.
Chatfield's Quinn Chandler takes the cake with a 21.52-second improvement from last year. He went from 2:31 to 2:09 this year. Ayden Terning is a close second with a 21.25-second improvement. A year ago he ran 2:26. This year? 2:05. Thomas Reddinger is the third half-miler with a 21-second improvement coming in at 21.20....
