In this week's edition of Colorado Future Stars we'll take a look at recent performances by sophomores!
Colorado, meet Kinley Wolfe!
If you recognize that last name, you should...
Wolfe is the younger sister of Parker Wolfe, and Baylor Wolfe.
Kinley has very quietly been on the rise.
The Cherry Creek sophomore has won every race she's competed in this outdoor season, which includes personal bests of 5:12 1,600 and a 2:20.87 800 from the Centennial League Varsity Opener.
Her 2:20 currently leads the sophomore class, and is a Colorado No. 8. Likewise, her 1,600 currently ranks her No. 2 in the sophomore class, and No. 7 in Colorado.
More recently she swept both events at the ThunderRidge Invitational.
Last fall she finished 19th at the 5A Colorado State Cross Country Championships, and ran a PR of 18:03 at the Liberty Bell Cross Country Invitational.
As a freshman she ran 5:28 in the 1,600, and opened her season with a 2:26 800 before going on to run 2:18 - so she's already six-seconds ahead of where she was last year in the event.
Clearly, already made a massive leap.
Quick Takes
Amelie Campbell - Denver South - Campbell currently leads the class in the 100 and the 200. She's run 12.46 in the 100, and 25.90 in the 200 - both at the Rangeview Raider Invitational.
Kaeli Powe - Cherokee Trail - Powe's 19-0.5 long jump from the Rangeview Raider Invitational currently leads the state by nearly two-feet.
Nadhia Campos - The Vanguard School - Not exactly a "future star" since she's a state champ, but she's been on fire this outdoor season - she's run 5:13 in the 1,600, and 11:08 in the 3,200. Her 3,200 ranks her No. 2 in Colorado.
Ella Hagen - Summit - Like Campos, Hagen isn't new to the spotlight. She's run 5:05 in the 1,600, which ranks her No. 2 in Colorado.
Ka'Moyyah Allen - Cherokee Trail - Allen's 58.35 in the 400 currently leads the state in the event.

Daniel Thomason - Fruita Monument - Thomason recently cleared 6-4 in the high jump at the Rifle High School Invitational. That ties for the lead in the sophomore class and ranks him No. 5 in Colorado.
Finn Conway Reiser - Fort Collins - Conway Reiser recently cleared 6-4 in the high jump at the Runners Roost of Fort Collins Invite - that ties for the lead in the sophomore class and ranks him No. 5 in Colorado.
