The Cherokee Trail quartet of Kaelan Kombo, Kahari Wilbon, Beck Gutjahr, and Peyton Sommers have officially run themselves into the record books!
Cherokee Trail torched a new 4x400 state record at the 4x800 state in mid-May.
They sliced well over a second-and-a-half off the previous 4x400 state record, which was held by Rangeview, who ran 3:14.72 in 2012.
The performance marks just one of two sub-3:15 clocking over the past 20 years. Only four other squads have broken 3:20 over the last decade, making Cherokee Trail's performance all the more impressive.
