Isabel Allori Runs 10:04.16 Colorado 3,200 State Record

...

10:04.16!

They say records are meant to be broken.

It seemed inevitable that Isabel Allori would do something big this outdoor season.

With two weeks to the 2024 Colorado State Championships, the Liberty Common senior officially etched her name into the record books.

Allori torched a 10:04.16 in the 3,200 on Day Two of the Patriot League Meet in Greeley, Colorado.

The performance took down Riley Stewart's two year-old record of 10:06.23.

The win was Allori's third-consecutive in the event this season. Last month she won the Arcadia Invitational in 9:58.

In early March she battled indoors in an exciting 2-mile race at the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships, finishing second in 9:48.20 - that run marked fastest 2-mile ever by a Coloradan.

Now with a 10:04.16 on Colorado soil, she's officially the Colorado state record holder.

Back in mid-March we made a bit of a prediction in MileSplit Shorts using some reverse math that put Allori's NBNI performance right around 10:05. Obviously Allori surpassed that by a second, making the performance all the more impressive.

Add that her run was just the fifth time anyone has run under 10:15 in Colorado over the last 20 years.

Allori is headed to Notre Dame in the fall.
