Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) will provide a bi-weekly Coaches Poll for the 2024 Colorado cross country season.

Some early observations: The girl's 5A landscape is absolutely loaded. Loaded as in the top-three squads here (Mountain Vista, Air Academy, and Niwot) are the top three squads from Nike Cross Nationals last year. This means that Colorado's 5A classification isn't just the most competitive in the state - it's the most competitive in the country.
With Niwot moving up to 5A, 4A looks wide open for a new state champion.
On the boy's side Coronado - who returns one of the best squads in the state - looks to be in the driver's seat. On the girl's side Summit returns a stellar squad, led by Ella Hagen. But keep an eye on Holy Family - they've moved up from 3A, and could make an instant splash in 4A.
Can The Classical Academy sweep 3A? It's possible. But on the boy's side Jefferson Academy returns a very strong squad, and could make a run for it.
