Colorado Future Stars: Maeve Vancik

In this week's edition of Colorado Future Stars we'll be highlighting recent standout freshmen performances.

Colorado, meet Maeve Vancik!

The Arapahoe freshmen recently had a massive breakthrough performance at the Pat Amato Classic, where she finished fourth in a personal best of 18:23.

The time sliced three-seconds off her previous PR - an 18:26 clocking from the Liberty Bell Cross Country Invitational

Anytime you run faster than Liberty Bell it hints at a huge improvement.

Add that it was just her third time under 19-minutes this season, and her second under 18:30 (the other being Liberty Bell.)

It was also her second top-10 finish - her first being her high school debut, where she ran 20:14 to finish seventh at the Washington Park Invitational
