Colorado Future Stars: Lincoln Fagerlin (March 17-22)

If the last name looks familiar, then it might not be that surprising that we are highlighting Lincoln Fagerlin. Two weeks ago, this freshman competed at the Max Marr Invitational in the 800 meters, where he finished 2nd overall, with a time of 1:57.

His time in the 800m already earns Fagerlin a MileSplit First Team National standard, and he achieved that standard in his first high school race and at altitude! This time also would have earned him a top podium finish in almost all of the classes at the Colorado State Championships.

Then Fagerlin decided to one up himself and raced at the New Balance Indoor Championships, where he placed 3rd overall in the freshman 800m division in an incredibly tight race, where he ran 1:56! Though he was at sea level, he still ran on an indoor track, where it is much harder to race than outdoors.

It is definitely safe to say the future is very bright for this Fagerlin brother, and we are excited to see what he will achieve this season and for seasons to come.
