Colorado Boys Performer of the Week (03/31-04/05)

In an incredibly close battle last week, Troy Sowards of Centauri High School won the performer of the week! Make sure to get your votes in for this week, because the polls close on Friday, April 11th at Midnight!

Quinn SullivanNiwot High School: Though the weather was cold and a little snowy in Colorado over the weekend, a few teams took advantage of some out-of-state meets, including Niwot High School. At the Oregon Relays, Sullivan ran the mile in a time of 4:11.32, and his 1600m time en route was 4:09.76, putting him a top of the rankings in Colorado, and his time is ranked #2 in the whole nation for sophomores.

Francis Ojowa, Prairie View High School: Though usually a hurdles specialist, Ojowa chose to race a couple flat races and showed off some incredible speed this weekend. He ran 21.59 at the Altitude Running Invite, winning the meet and placing himself in the top 3 in all of Colorado in the event.

Jackson Bevan, Plateau Valley High School: At the Frank Woodburn Invitational, Bevan threw a mark of 154-1 for the discus, a nice PR and a huge season's best throw as well. Plateau Valley High School moved down to Class 1A this year, but school size does not matter when it comes to impressive performances. This throw puts Bevan at #3 in all of Colorado.
