Being a part of such a strong distance team as Niwot High School can make it hard to stand out, especially when one is only a sophomore. However, though Quinn Sullivan was still impressive during his freshman year, he is really stepping it up this track season.
First, Sullivan ran a huge PR in the 1600m at the Oregon Relays, running a time of 4:09. That time is the fastest time for all Colorado athletes. During the indoor season, Sullivan also ran an impressive 4:10 for the mile at the Nike Indoor Championship. For the 800m, Sullivan has the top time in that event as well, running 1:54 so far this season. That is only one second away from his personal best of 1:53, which he ran at sea level.
Sullivan already owns two 3rd place finishes in the 800m and the 1600m at the Colorado state meet in Class 4A, however, the way he is looking this year, a state title could be in the works for this sophomore.
