Colorado Future Stars: Jude Ritzenhein (09/15-20)

Our next future star goes to another freshman, Jude Ritzenhein of Niwot High School. The class of 2029 is insanely fast, and Ritzenhein is proving that fact with his incredibly consistent cross country season.

Ritzenhein started off with a win at the Vista Nation Two Mile Race, taking the victory in the freshmen/sophomore division, running a time of 10:11. He then went on to run 15:54 in his past two meets in the 5k. At the Centaurus Bernie Gay Invitational, he placed 3rd overall and was the second person to cross the line for the #1 ranked team in the nation.

In terms of his middle school success, Ritzenhein already has a ton of experience on the big stage. He finished 2nd in the middle school division in the indoor mile at Nike Indoor Nationals, running a time of 4:41. He also competed at the Brooks PR Invitational in the mile, running a new PR of 4:33, placing him 7th overall in the event.
