Allisson Christensen, Lakewood High School: Christensen won her league meet, taking the victory at the 5A JeffCo League Championship. Her time of 18:50 was a new personal best and her first time breaking 19 minutes in the 5k!
McKenna Groen, Regis Jesuit: In one of the more competitive league meets, Groen won the Continental League Championship in a time of 18:40. Though Schwalm and Guiberson were not racing, Groen still beat everyone else from schools such as Heritage, Mountain Vista, ThunderRidge, and Chaparral High School.
Tereza Koudelka, Niwot High School: Koudelka, who is only a 9th grader, won the Hawk JV Championship in a time of 18:16. This time was the fastest 5k for all of Colorado this weekend, and it was only a few seconds off of her PR of 18:10 that she ran last week to win the Granite Peaks League Championship.
