The results of the rankings at the half-way mark show Sierra with a healthy lead. But don't tell Longmont, Mullen, Silver Creek, Valor, or Castle View that. For that matter, you probably don't want to tell that to the Sierra coaching staff.
4A boys is loaded with talent this year and we've only seen bits and piecesso far from a few athletes. For example, Tevan McIntire appears, thus far, only in the triple jump rankings. Cheyenne Mountain has more in the barn than the weather has allowed them to show thus far. We can probably expect more from Alex Paul than an 8th in the 1600. And so it goes. The tempest is only beginning to rage.
This one should stay exciting all the way down to the finish. Figure on some teams rolling the dice in a few events at state.
