Top Middle School Girl Returners in Sprints/Hurdles

Middle school may still have to wait a few more weeks until the start of their season, but for the next couple weeks will look at some names to look out for in each event group! (Note: Names are in no particular order.)

Ella Lockett, Skyview Middle School (Pueblo West): Lockett ran personal best times of 12.63, 26.42, and 59.81 all as a 7th grader last season. She is an all-around good sprinter with strong PRs in short and long sprints and will be someone to look out for during the middle school season.

Alayah Smith, Alpha & Omega Athletics: This 7th grader has a lot of potential going into this next season and definitely beyond! She ran two wind-aided times of 12.94 and 26.24 in the 100m and 200m and ran 1:02 in the 400m. During the indoor season this year, she ran 7.99 in the 60m, 26.20 in the 200m, and1:00 in the 400m!
