Colorado high school track and field athletes posted several personal records at meets held March 18-21.
Andrew Parrish, Clear Creek High School: Parrish ran 1:57.06 in the 800 meters at the Texas Distance Festival, improving by an astounding 13 seconds from his previous best of 2:10.17 set in February 2024! The time ranks #5 in Colorado, #1 for sophomores, and set a Clear Creek school record, with Parrish placing 22nd of 235 competitors.
Keith Robinson, Brighton High School: Robinson threw 50-3 in the shot put at the Runners Roost Invite, bettering his previous mark of 44-2 from his first meet of the season! The senior ranks #8 in Colorado and #5 among seniors, setting a Brighton school record while placing third of 66 throwers. Robinson also set a personal record in the discus, improving from 116-10 to 137-8!
Alexandria Antill, Arvada West High School: Antill clocked 12.80 in the 100 meters at the Arvada City Championships, lowering her previous best of 13.42 from the beginning of the season! The junior won the event in a field of 22 runners and ranks #44 in Colorado and #16 among juniors.
Erick Soltvedt, Eagle Valley High School: He ran 15.98 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Broomfield Shootout, improving by nearly a second from his previous best of 16.92! The sophomore placed 14th of 60 competitors and ranks #39 in Colorado and #5 among sophomores. Soltvedt also cleared 6-2 in the high jump, improving from his previous best of 5-10.
Steven McAllister, Liberty High School: He ran 22.47 in the 200 meters at the Lancer Invite, bettering his previous time by almost a second with his last PR set at 23.52! The senior won the event in a field of 53 runners and ranks #24 in Colorado and #13 among seniors.
Kaden Tucker, Platte Valley High School: Tucker cleared 6-4 in the high jump at the Beetdigger Invitational, improving from 5-11! The sophomore won the event among 13 competitors, is tied at #6 in Colorado and tied for #1 among sophomores, and set a Platte Valley school record. Tucker also threw 40-4 in the shot put, improving from 32-4.
Ava Wankelman, Loveland High School: She cleared 11-6 in the pole vault at the Broomfield Shootout, bettering her previous mark of 11-0 from the first meet of the season. The sophomore placed second of 15 vaulters and ranks #4 in Colorado and #1 among sophomores. Wankleman also cleared 5-0 in the high jump, improving from 4-11.
Isabella Haas, Palmer Ridge High School: Haas ran 5:22.79 in the 1600 meters at the Chandler Rotary Invitational, improving from 5:30.83 set earlier in the season! The junior placed 19th of 148 runners and ranks #41 in Colorado and #16 among juniors.
Lillian Graves, Fairview High School: Graves ran 24.75 in the 200 meters at the Broomfield Shootout, bettering her previous time of 25.19! The sophomore won the event in a field of 94 runners, ranks #3 in Colorado and #1 among sophomores, and set a Fairview school record.
Rhyla Hyer, Douglas County High School: She ran 16.02 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Chandler Rotary Invitational, improving from 16.22! The senior placed 21st of 99 hurdlers and ranks #18 in Colorado and #11 among seniors.
