Bristyl Barratt, Cheraw High School: Barratt is only a freshman, but she won multiple state titles in the hurdles and the distance events! She placed 1st in the 800m, running 2:15, then placed 2nd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.82. Next, she ran 5:19, splitting 69 seconds for the last 400m to win the 1600m and ended her day with a title in the 300m hurdles, running a two second PR of 46.07!
Suvaun Cook, Peetz High School: Though her triple jump mark was wind-aided, Cook's mark was better than the Class 1A record, jumping 37-1.75! Even if it was not an official record, she finished 1st overall in the event, along with a 1st place finish in the long jump with a mark of 16-7!
Roxy Unruh, Cheyenne Wells High School: Unruh won the Class 1A titles in the 100m and the 200m for her 4th time in a row, running times of 12.28 and 25.37! Her 100m time was a season's best and her 200m time was a new personal best and state meet record! She also finished 2nd overall in the 400m, running 57.23.
Sophia McCormick, Limon High School: McCormick battled Daphani Allen for the 400m title, running an impressive time of 57.61, which was also a new personal best for the sophomore! She continued to battle Allen in the 200m, where she ended up 2nd, but still in a new personal best time of 25.58!
Daphani Allen, Yuma High School: Allen is also a sophomore, meaning McCormick and she will continue to battle throughout the rest of their high school careers for these individual titles. In the 400m, Allen finished 2nd overall in a time of 58.24! For the 200m, she took the victory in a new personal best time of 25.57 to defeat McCormick.
Sara Christensen, Thomas MacLaren School: Christensen defended her 100m hurdles state title from last season, winning in a time of 14.89! She also went on to win the 300m hurdles, where she finished 2nd a year ago. She won that race in a time of 44.96 for the victory.
Austin Cook, Telluride High School: Cook won the 800m Class 2A title a year ago and was able to defend it, running a huge time of 2:11, which was only .02 away from the state meet record! She also went on to win the 1600m, in a time of 5:05, and she helped her team out for a victory in the 4x800m relay, running a split of 2:11 once again!
Brooke Schmidt, Wiggins High School: Schmidt also defended her two titles in the throwing events, winning both the discus and the shot put! She threw 41-2.25 to win the shot put, which was only a couple feet off of the state meet record. She also threw 131-3 to win the discus.
Sofia Sigg, Berthoud High School: Sigg had a huge day on the sprints side for Class 3A, winning two individual titles and placing 2nd overall in the 100m! First, she ran 12.22 to qualify for the final and 12.34 in the final for that runner-up finish. Then in the 400m, she ran a personal best of 57.58 and a personal best of 24.88 in the preliminary round of the 200m to then run 25.14 to win the title in that event as well!
Delaney Reuter, Eaton High School: Reuter almost completed the triple, winning all of the distance events, except the 800m where she ended up 2nd overall. In the 800m, she did run 2:15 to earn the runner-up placement to the Classical Academy's Vivian Jack. In the 1600m and the 3200m, Reuter won fairly easily with times of 4:54 in the 1600m and 10:44 in the 3200m on a very hot day!
Kina Will, Coal Ridge High School: Will won the 300m hurdles, defeating the favorite in Alexandria Horton, running a new personal best time of 44.54 in the process! She also had another personal best time in the 100m hurdles, running 14.90 to place 2nd overall in the event! It was also her first time under 15 seconds for the short hurdles.
Mackinzy Wall, Manitou Springs High School: Wall has been very dominant in the discus all season, and she continued her undefeated season winning the Class 3A state title! In the process, she hit a new personal best and state meet record, getting out to 147-9! She also placed 5th overall in the shot put, throwing 35-1.
Ruby Naber, University High School: Naber won both the long jump and the triple jump for Class 3A, hitting a huge mark in one of her last jumps! Naber jumped 18-2.25 to win the title and also got out to 39-7.75 in the triple jump to win that title as well.
