CO Boys Track and Field Future Stars from the State Meet

The 2026 Colorado Track and Field State Championship produced some amazing results from the 9th and 10th graders on the boys' side, including many athletes who won individual titles! Check out the underclassmen who performed very well at the state meet this past weekend! 

Levi Gibson, Crowley County High School: Gibson was one of the fastest freshman in the long sprints at the state meet, placing 7th in the 200m and 3rd in the 400m for Class 2A! Gibson ran 22.98 in the 200m finals and ran 49.40 in the 400m finals to earn 3rd place. 

Jude Ritzenhein, Niwot High School: Ritzenhein competed in the most competitive class for distance running and was the fastest freshman in both the 800m and the 1600m at the state meet! He ran 1:55 in the 800m to placed 13th overall. He then ran 4:12 in the 1600m to get on the podium and finish in 7th.
